As a destination photographer, I’m always drawn to the light in Modica in late September soft, golden, and incredibly flattering on the baroque stone. On September 20th, 2025, A+L’s day unfolded naturally between Modica and la chiusa country house, with thoughtful coordination by mutika.

Wedding in Modica: Getting Ready & Style Details

During the morning, the story was in the details. The bride wore antonio riva, paired with Manolo Blahnik and an Antonio Riva Milano veil, plus the most meaningful touch: her mother’s jewelry. The groom chose timeless tailoring by Sartoria Lazzarin, finished with a Franco Bassi tie, Albert Thurston suspenders, and his grandfather’s cufflinks. His shoes were Fratelli Rossetti—classic, understated, perfect.

The “I do” at San Pietro Cathedral

Inside San Pietro Cathedral, everything felt intimate and still: hands held a little tighter, eyes met a little longer, and the music carried each moment gently. And then, outside, Modica delivered its signature magic—warm light, real cheers, and that unmistakable feeling of freedom when the vows finally become real.

From the Historic Center to La Chiusa Country House

After portraits among Modica’s stone streets, the celebration moved to La Chiusa Country House. Arriving by Filippo Veninata vintage car added a cinematic note—ideal for a Sicilian destination wedding. At the venue, every element stayed elegant and effortless: florals by alfio flowers, warm lighting by di benedetto light and Luca Aliffi Light, and a Sicilian accent by Cinabro Carrettieri. Dinner and the flow of the evening were curated by squiseating, with Raro guiding the room and beverage experience. Then I Samarcanda with Service Samarcanda brought the energy—welcoming the couple in, carrying speeches and toasts, and keeping the dancefloor full late into the night.
